Commercial Solicitor – Consultant (Self‑Employed)

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced commercial solicitors to join its national consultancy model as self‑employed consultants. The role offers full flexibility to work remotely or from office while building your own client base and earning a fee split of 70‑85% of generated revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal commercial law caseload from inception to resolution.
• Provide specialist legal advice to businesses and professionals across England and Wales.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Meet a minimum billing target of £100,000 per annum.
• Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, admin and accounts teams to ensure regulatory adherence.

Required profile

• Post‑qualification experience as a commercial solicitor, preferably senior level.
• Proven ability to independently manage a caseload and generate revenue.
• Existing client following or the capacity to develop one quickly.
• Commitment to the firm’s values of integrity, expertise and client‑focused service.
