About the role

Our client, a Legal 500‑recognised regional law firm, is seeking a Commercial & IP Solicitor to join a growing team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of household‑name brands, technology businesses and owner‑managed companies, providing commercial and intellectual property advice across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, licensing, technology and software contracts.
• Provide IP protection strategies, licensing advice, brand management guidance and integrate IP considerations into broader commercial transactions.
• Support cross‑border work and collaborate with colleagues to deliver commercially focused solutions.
• Maintain client relationships, ensuring clear and practical advice.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience at a Legal 500/Chambers‑ranked firm or a high‑quality in‑house legal team is desirable.
• Background in commercial law with interest in developing IP expertise, or vice‑versa.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial law, excellent client‑facing skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to manage own workload while working effectively within a team.
