Commercial Underwriter – E‑Trading (Manningtree)

About the role

We are looking for a Commercial Underwriter to join a fast‑growing UK MGA’s digital trading division. Based in Manningtree, you will manage a new‑business book, develop broker relationships and underwrite a range of commercial insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a portfolio of new business while nurturing broker relationships.
• Review and underwrite quotations across commercial insurance lines within the company’s appetite.
• Collaborate with IT and Technical Underwriting teams to enhance digital products and Acturis‑driven processes.
• Support Business Development Managers in broker engagement activities.
• Provide guidance to colleagues with lower underwriting authority and ensure service standards are met.
• Respond to broker enquiries professionally and efficiently, adhering to TCF principles.
