Join Parkdean Resorts' vibrant kitchen team in Clacton‑on‑Sea as a Commis Chef. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a high‑volume, guest‑focused environment, where you’ll support the creation and presentation of delicious dishes while developing your culinary skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to company specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Keep your workstation and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and compliant with health & safety regulations.
• Record and monitor food temperatures, ensuring safe storage and handling.
• Assist with food prep, restocking, and portion control to minimise waste.
• Receive, check, and store deliveries following stock rotation and safety guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and support a positive work environment.
• Complete deep‑cleaning tasks as directed by the Head Chef.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for food and a desire to grow in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in high‑volume food preparation is a plus but not mandatory.
