Commis Chef – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Grantley Hall, a five‑star historic hotel in the North Yorkshire countryside, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join its award‑winning culinary team. You will work alongside the Head Chef to maintain the high standards of food quality and service that define this luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Maintain training standards and ensure all dishes meet Grantley Hall’s quality criteria.
• Control the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all kitchen products to meet brand standards.
• Develop and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) as directed.
• Track inventory, replenish stock, and keep stock records up to date.
• Proactively undertake tasks and initiatives assigned by senior kitchen staff.
