Commissioning Home Manager – New Build Care Home

About the role

As a Commissioning Home Manager you will lead the launch of a brand‑new Barchester care home in Hextable. You will be responsible for building the team, establishing community links and ensuring the home meets the highest standards of person‑centred care from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and develop a new multidisciplinary team for the newly built home.
• Collaborate with the new‑build projects team and support services to integrate the home into the local community.
• Drive the preparation and successful outcome of the first regulatory inspection.
• Promote the home’s dementia‑friendly “Memory Lane” community and other resident services.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with Barchester’s quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing or opening a new care home or similar facility.
• Strong passion for person‑centred care and a track record of motivating teams to deliver outstanding personalised services.
• Experience in community engagement and marketing a care home.
• Ability to work closely with construction, project and support teams.
