Commodity Buyer

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to lead end‑to‑end procurement activities within our manufacturing and engineering environment. You will work closely with Procurement Leads and cross‑functional teams to secure the right materials at the best cost and lead‑time.
Key responsibilities
- Manage supplier negotiations, issue RFQs and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP/MRP system and track order fulfilment.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous cost and lead‑time improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with production schedules.
- Support strategic sourcing of engineered polymers and high‑grade metals where applicable.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Commodity Buyer in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
