Communications Coordinator

About the role

We are the United Kingdom’s aviation and aerospace regulator, seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Communications & Engagement Team. The role supports a busy press office, coordinates strategic communications planning, and delivers data‑informed digital content that aligns with organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day press office activities, including enquiries, media responses, coverage monitoring and both reactive and proactive communications.
• Develop and deliver proactive communications campaigns and media announcements that advance strategic objectives.
• Produce communications impact reports, collating data and insights across channels to demonstrate performance and inform future activity.
• Maintain the team’s forward planner, ensuring all communications work is coordinated, resourced and project‑managed.
• Track stakeholder engagement and support decision‑making with audience insights and emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled approaches.

• Confident project manager capable of balancing reactive and proactive tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

• Permanent, full‑time position with a hybrid working model (minimum two days in the Canary Wharf office).
• Salary up to £30,000 per annum plus a £4,759 on‑call allowance.
