About the role
We are seeking a Communications Executive to join the Go‑Ahead Group’s corporate communications team. In this role you will create and manage internal and external content, support media relations and help ensure a consistent brand voice across all operating companies.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and edit press releases, media statements and internal communications.
- Maintain and update the corporate website with accurate, relevant content.
- Lead social‑media content creation, campaign planning and performance reporting.
- Monitor media coverage, analyse insights and share them with key stakeholders.
- Support monthly reporting, including Board reports and internal announcements.
- Maintain the communications planner and coordinate updates from across the Group.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather stories, initiatives and ensure high‑quality communication across operating companies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a corporate communications role.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
- Organisational talent with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, creative approach to content and ideas.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with digital communication tools (advantageous).
