Communications Executive

About the role

The Communications Executive will support the design, delivery and management of employee communication channels, programmes and campaigns that underpin TfL’s strategic projects and priorities. Working in a hybrid model, you will help create engaging content that drives employee engagement and improves business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of employee communications plans across intranet, digital, print and broadcast channels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce compelling news, features and multimedia content.
• Identify innovative communication approaches and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers and creative agencies.
• Oversee the internal distribution chain to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of communication collateral.
• Maintain and curate pan‑TfL communication assets such as photos, videos and branding materials.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of employee communications techniques across face‑to‑face, digital, social media, print and broadcast channels.
• Ability to spot communication opportunities and provide proactive guidance.
• Understanding of varied editorial styles for different media and audiences.

Required skills

• Excellent writing ability with a track record of producing clear, creative, high‑quality content.
• Competence in managing industry‑standard digital platforms and software for internal communications.

• Competitive salary of circa £38,000, dependent on experience.
