Communications Manager, United Kingdom

About the role

As Canva continues to scale, the Communications Manager will shape how the brand is perceived across the United Kingdom. You will own the strategy, media relationships and storytelling that drive awareness and strengthen Canva’s local reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead communications strategy for Canva across the United Kingdom, shaping direction and priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with top UK journalists and editors to secure coverage.
• Localise and activate global product launches and campaigns for the UK market.
• Develop and execute a year‑round storytelling programme across earned, owned and experiential channels.
• Support Canva’s UK leadership with media interviews, speaking engagements and internal communications.
• Partner with local teams on employee communications, change initiatives and milestone announcements.

Required profile

• Extensive communications experience in the United Kingdom, with a proven record of leading high‑impact programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to secure coverage in top‑tier business and media outlets.
• Strong network of relationships with UK journalists and editors.
• Experience adapting global campaigns to local markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
