Communications Officer, AI, Digital & Data

About the role

PATH is seeking a Communications Officer to support its AI, Digital & Data Initiative. Working closely with the Chief AI Officer, you will shape how the initiative is presented to external audiences and ensure its work gains visibility across policy, funding and public domains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own and continuously refine a communications strategy, defining objectives, target audiences, channels and success metrics.
• Maintain a forward‑looking communications calendar aligned with milestones, publications, events and funding cycles.
• Conduct audience analysis and landscape monitoring to keep messaging responsive to emerging trends and funder priorities.
• Advise the Chief AI Officer and project leads on media opportunities, thought‑leadership windows and policy‑engagement openings.
• Produce a wide range of written and multimedia outputs, from one‑page briefs to conference talking points.
• Manage external engagement, including media relations, partner communications and liaison with PATH’s central communications team.

Required profile

• Strong communications instincts with a proven ability to translate technical material into clear, compelling narratives for senior decision‑makers.
• Versatility to work across formats (briefs, articles, presentations) and audiences (ministers, board members, partners).
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
