Communications Officer – Employability & Apprenticeships

About the role

The University of Greenwich, soon part of the London and South‑East (LASE) University Group, is looking for a creative Communications Officer to join the Employability & Apprenticeships Directorate. You will help showcase the impact of our employability programmes through high‑quality written, visual and digital content.

Key responsibilities

• Produce engaging content for the website, LinkedIn and Instagram that reflects the university’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with academic and support staff to gather stories, data and updates for communication materials.
• Maintain and update the employability web pages, ensuring information is current and accessible.
• Support student staff in creating campaign assets and storytelling pieces.
• Monitor digital channels and analytics to optimise reach and engagement.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail.
• Proactive, creative mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in higher‑education or similar sector is desirable.
• Commitment to the university’s values of inclusivity, collaboration and impact.

Required skills

• Experience managing social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Familiarity with website content management systems.
