Communications Officer

About the role

Forestry England is looking for a creative and organised Communications Officer to help deliver high‑quality, integrated communications across key priority areas, including our partnership with Forest Holidays. Working within the Brand and Engagement team, you will craft engaging content, support campaigns and ensure consistent storytelling that reflects Forestry England’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integrated communications for priority projects, especially Forest Holidays site development.
• Create engaging content for a wide range of audiences, supporting campaigns that connect people with forests.
• Maintain consistency with Forestry England’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Contribute to wider organisational communication priorities and projects.

Required profile

• Strong storytelling ability and excellent organisational skills.
• Confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work within a Brand and Engagement team and report to a Communications Manager.

What we offer

• Salary of £33,854 per annum on a 3‑year fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
