Community Coordinator (Temporary Part‑time)

About the role

The Community Coordinator will lead the delivery of the Cheshire Contribution programme, providing on‑site support for events and ensuring smooth operational processes. This part‑time, fixed‑term role offers the chance to work closely with local volunteers, authorities and partners to create visible community projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of the Cheshire Contribution programme, ensuring efficient processes and on‑site support during events.
• Develop and maintain an operational guide, including checklists, safety protocols, risk assessments and induction materials.
• Plan, organise and deliver community events, creating marketing materials to attract stakeholders, volunteers and local residents.
• Recruit and manage volunteers and local residents, and engage trusted local hosts and coordinators to facilitate activities.
• Collaborate with local authorities, public sector organisations and partner groups to co‑create high‑impact projects in visible locations.
• Build and sustain relationships with partner organisations to secure resources, capacity and connections needed for successful delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the programme, providing guidance and support to participants and partners.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and community event management.
• Ability to produce clear operational documentation and safety procedures.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently on a part‑time basis.
