Community Manager – South Wales and The Three English Counties

About the role

The RNLI is seeking a Community Manager to lead volunteer and supporter engagement across South Wales and the three English counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Working from home with regular travel, you will be the primary contact for fundraising, retail and visitor experience initiatives, helping to grow the organisation’s lifesaving mission.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for RNLI volunteers and supporters in the assigned region.
• Drive fundraising activities, retail operations and visitor experiences to meet income and footfall targets.
• Support and empower volunteer crews, providing guidance and resources to maximise community impact.
• Identify and engage new audiences, expanding the RNLI’s reach and support base.
• Collaborate with regional and national teams to align local actions with organisational goals.

Required profile

• Strong connection to local communities and a passion for the RNLI’s lifesaving purpose.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with remote teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the covered area.
