Community Nurse

About the role

The NHS Orkney Community Nursing Team is looking for a motivated Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality care to residents on the Mainland and, when required, the surrounding islands. You will join a supportive primary‑care environment, working autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate care plans for individuals and families.
• Work closely with the Senior Community Nurse to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Provide clinical care in both mainland and island settings as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate observations effectively.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with full UK driving licence and access to transport.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider primary‑care team.
• Excellent communication and observational skills.
• Residency in the UK is a condition of employment.
