Community Partnership and Engagement Officer

About the role

The Community Partnership and Engagement Officer will be based in Birmingham and will lead the development of strong relationships with community stakeholders. This temporary, full‑time position supports a medium‑sized not‑for‑profit organisation delivering high‑quality services to vulnerable people.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, design, implement and maintain engagement initiatives in line with targets, timescales and budgets.
• Facilitate the customer engagement framework and communication strategy under the Housing Services Manager.
• Proactively engage tenants and service users, leading tenant groups and scrutiny panels.
• Work with external agencies to promote the organisation and encourage tenant participation.
• Lead the production of marketing and promotional material across all departments.
• Collate evidence for consumer standards self‑assessment and oversee complaint recording and investigation.
• Present performance dashboards to board/committee governance structures and deputise for the Housing Services Manager when required.

Required profile

• Experience in community partnership, stakeholder engagement or similar roles within the public or not‑for‑profit sector.
• Knowledge of housing, health and social‑care issues affecting vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal departments and external partners.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering performance targets.
