Community Staff Nurse - District Nursing

About the role

The District Nursing Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to deliver skilled, person‑centred care in patients' homes and homely settings. You will work autonomously while being part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high‑quality nursing interventions across a broad range of clinical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver nursing care to individuals in the community.
• Provide compassionate, person‑centred interventions that respect patients' preferences and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning decisions.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep clinical knowledge up to date.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid first‑level Adult Nursing qualification/degree.
• Current NMC UK PIN.
• Relevant clinical experience in nursing, preferably within community settings.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for community nursing.
