Community Staff Nurse – District Nursing

About the role

The District Nursing Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to deliver skilled, person‑centred care in patients' homes and homely settings. You will work autonomously while being part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high‑quality nursing interventions across a wide range of clinical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and meet the health needs of individuals in the community, delivering compassionate care.
• Provide a range of nursing interventions, including medication management, wound care, and health education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and review care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to decision‑making that places patients and their families at the centre of care.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep clinical knowledge up to date.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid first‑level Adult Nursing qualification/degree.
• Current, active NMC UK PIN.
• Relevant clinical experience in nursing, preferably within community settings.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a genuine passion for community nursing.

Required skills

• Valid NMC registration.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and documentation.
