Community Staff Nurse – NE District Nursing

About the role

This full‑time permanent position is for a Community Staff Nurse within the North East District Nursing Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Based at Springburn Health Centre, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients in their homes across diverse communities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care in community settings.
• Assess, plan and implement individualized care programmes with patients, families and carers.
• Perform skilled clinical interventions, including complex and technical nursing procedures.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider district nursing team.
• Respond to planned and urgent care needs, including weekend and public‑holiday rotas.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC UK PIN (Part 1 or equivalent experience).
• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to revalidation.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and independent clinical judgement.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between patient homes.
