Community Support Worker

About the role

Creative Support Ltd is seeking a Community Support Worker to join its Woodley team. You will work with adults experiencing mental health challenges, helping them develop coping strategies, gain independence, and enjoy a richer social life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals, encouraging skill development and self‑confidence.
• Accompany service users on community outings, such as cinema trips, to promote social inclusion.
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and everyday problem‑solving.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person‑centred care.
• Maintain accurate records of support activities and progress.

Required profile

• Passion for mental health and community‑based support.
• Commitment to inclusive, anti‑racist values and the organisation’s diversity principles.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time within Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm hours.

Required skills

• Ability to build trusting relationships and provide empathetic support.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with service users and colleagues.
• Basic budgeting and organisational abilities.
