Company Accountant (Finance Manager)

About the role

We are partnering with a thriving property business in Clapham Junction to find an experienced Company Accountant who will act as Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of an award‑winning firm.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts pack and present reports to the senior leadership team.
• Handle all statutory submissions including HMRC, PAYE, VAT returns and corporation tax.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decisions and strategic direction.
• Manage purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control processes.
• Process small monthly payroll using Sage Payroll system.
• Undertake ad‑hoc accounting duties as required.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) – QBE accountants also considered.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UK tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
