Compassionate Care Assistant – Full‑time, Seaton

About the role

Join Thornfield Care Home on the beautiful Jurassic Coast and provide person‑centred support to our 52 residents. As a Care Assistant you will help individuals maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing in a warm, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and promptly report any changes in condition.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to create a positive, safe atmosphere.
• Participate in shift patterns (7:30‑20:15, 7:30‑14:15, 14:00‑20:00) and alternate weekends.

Required profile

• A caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive outlook and willingness to learn.
• Previous care experience is helpful but not essential; NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
