CompEx Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a CompEx‑qualified Electrician to join a leading infrastructure services provider operating across the UK. Based in Edinburgh, you will travel to commercial and industrial sites – primarily fuel retail and forecourt locations – to carry out electrical inspections, maintenance and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective electrical maintenance on client sites throughout Scotland.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and certification in line with UK legislation.
• Prepare and submit test certificates, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for audit compliance.
• Liaise with customers on‑site to discuss ongoing works and identify additional service opportunities.
• Report progress and findings to engineers, management and support teams.
• Travel to sites independently, including occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification with CompEx 07‑08 (current or lapsed) – candidates with CompEx 01‑04 are also considered.
• Proven experience in commercial/industrial electrical maintenance and inspections.
• Willingness to work independently and travel across Scotland.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards and audit readiness.

Required skills

• CompEx 07‑08 certification (or willingness to attain).
• CompEx 01‑04 certification.
• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Electrical inspection and testing.
• Preparation of test certificates and RAMS documentation.
