Complex Care Assistant – SEN Support

About the role
We are seeking compassionate Complex Care Assistants to join a range of special educational needs (SEN) settings across Leeds and West Yorkshire. You will work directly with children aged 4‑19 who have complex physical, medical and learning needs, helping them access a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care, hygiene support and changing assistance for learners requiring intervention.
- Assist medical and care staff in delivering care plans that meet each learner’s health and educational requirements.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff and teachers to create a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Support a variety of complex needs, including Autism, Asperger’s, Down syndrome, sensory and communication challenges, as well as physical/medical requirements.
Required profile
- Committed, caring and proactive attitude.
- Experience in a SEN school or a related sector such as care, nursing, residential or support work.
- Ability to follow healthcare, educational and medical plans accurately.
