Complex Support Worker – Children with Special Needs

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to children with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, mental health challenges and behaviours that may challenge. Working across Cornwall, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Devon, you will support children in their homes and community settings, helping them build confidence, independence and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored daily support to children with complex needs in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care, medication administration and therapeutic activities.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in community outings and social activities.
• Monitor and report any changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals and the wider care team to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Minimum one year of experience in care or support work.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs.
• Compassionate, reliable and person‑centred approach.
