Compliance Coordinator (Health & Safety)

About the role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Compliance Coordinator to champion Health & Safety and environmental compliance across a leading division. Based in Chessington, you will bridge strategic governance with day‑to‑day operational safety, ensuring the business meets all regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Manage environmental impact reporting and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Conduct regular internal audits and support preparation for external audits.
• Oversee the full risk‑assessment process, health & safety plans and method statements.
• Lead post‑incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and overall corporate governance.
• Control PPE, asset management, purchase orders, site access and work permits.
• Produce analytical reports for senior leadership and provide administrative support to the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Compliance, Health & Safety or related field, or relevant certifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards.
• Understanding of sustainability scopes (1, 2, 3) and strong attention to audit‑trail detail.
• Ability to influence safety culture across diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
