Compliance Manager – Consumer Finance (Hybrid, Redhill)

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join Santander Consumer Finance in Redhill on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO, you will oversee second‑line compliance matters across the business and ensure adherence to UK regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day management of compliance matters as a subject‑matter expert.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.
• Help the department meet internal service level agreements.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO and senior compliance stakeholders as required.
• Collaborate with other Compliance Managers to achieve department goals.
• Maintain and develop relationships across Santander UK and SCF Madrid.
• Escalate concerns according to established governance processes.
• Support business projects from a second‑line compliance perspective.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry best practice and regulatory risk.
• Manage RCSA requirements for your areas of responsibility.
• Produce high‑quality management information for relevant committees.
• Promote a strong compliance culture throughout SCUK.

Required profile

• A compliance or related qualification.
• Extensive compliance experience, particularly within consumer credit and motor finance.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations, rule books and current UK regulatory framework.
• Demonstrable line‑management experience.
• Experience in conduct, reputational and compliance risk management.
• Proven ability to implement change and meet aggressive deadlines.
