Compliance Manager – FCA/PRA Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a senior Compliance Manager to lead and evolve the regulatory framework for a fast‑growing international insurance business based in Bristol. The role works closely with the Board and senior executives, providing pragmatic FCA and PRA guidance while supporting the company’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the company’s compliance framework across the UK operation.
• Provide trusted regulatory advice to senior stakeholders, including the Board and executive team.
• Monitor, interpret and implement FCA and PRA regulatory developments.
• Maintain and enhance compliance policies, controls and governance processes.
• Support regulatory reporting, notifications and ongoing regulator engagement.
• Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal and Audit teams to ensure robust governance.
• Develop towards responsibility for SMF16 and SMF17 functions over time.

Required profile

• Significant experience in compliance within insurance or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of FCA and PRA regulations.
• Commercially focused, pragmatic approach to regulatory issues.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, growing business.
• Strong communication skills with senior leadership.
