Compliance Manager – Food & Drink

About the role

The Compliance Manager will ensure that our regulated food and wellness products meet all relevant UK, European and international standards. Working across product development, quality, marketing and supply chain, you will translate complex regulations into practical actions while supporting the launch of new products.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor changes to UK, EU and global regulations and communicate updates to the business.
• Review and approve product labels, claims and promotional material for compliance.
• Support product development from concept through launch, ensuring regulatory alignment.
• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and related SOPs.
• Manage product specifications, safety documentation and certificates.
• Oversee product testing schedules and lead CAPA investigations for complaints and non‑conformances.
• Coordinate internal audits and support external certification audits.
• Assess and approve new suppliers and deliver compliance training across the organisation.
• Report compliance risks and performance to senior leadership and assist with market entry strategies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of compliance experience in food, nutraceuticals, consumer health or a similar regulated FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of product, labeling and advertising regulations.
• Proven experience managing a QMS, SOPs, CAPA processes and complaints.
• Familiarity with recognised food safety and quality certification standards.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams.
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
