Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced compliance professional with a background in construction and property to join our governance team. You will help deliver a robust compliance management framework across maintenance activities and construction projects throughout the North West.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the subcontractor compliance framework across all business areas.
• Produce accurate compliance reports, management information and data analysis, including dashboards.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and pre‑qualification, ensuring all insurances and competency evidence are verified.
• Carry out compliance audits, monitoring exercises and risk due diligence, identifying non‑compliance and supporting corrective actions.
• Work closely with Commercial, Operational, Procurement and Health & Safety teams to maintain consistent supply‑chain governance.
• Assist in implementing performance‑management systems, data‑storage solutions and data‑driven operational improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in compliance, risk management or supply‑chain (e.g., ICA, IRM, CIPS) – optional but preferred.
• Proven experience in a compliance, risk‑management or governance role within the construction/property sector.
• Experience monitoring subcontractor performance, analysing complex data and producing management information.
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and related compliance requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington and surrounding areas.
