Compliance Officer – Legal & AML Specialist

About the role
We are partnering with a boutique law firm in London to hire its first dedicated Compliance Officer. Working hybrid from Camden Town, you will shape and embed the firm’s compliance function, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Legal Partner.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct client onboarding, matter opening, AML, CDD and KYC checks.
- Perform source of funds and source of wealth reviews.
- Review files and carry out compliance audits.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and deliver compliance training across the firm.
- Support the wider compliance framework and contribute to policy and accreditation projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in legal compliance, AML, risk or a related field.
- Proven confidence handling client onboarding, CDD, AML and KYC processes.
- Experience in a small, generalist team environment.
