Compressor Service Engineer – Local Patch (Nottingham)

About the role

We are seeking a Compressor Service Engineer to join a family‑feel company based in Nottingham. You will work within a 75‑mile radius, providing service, installation and maintenance for industrial air compressors and generators while enjoying a strong work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the East Midlands, from Leeds to Birmingham, on a daily basis.
• Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on air compressors and nitrogen/oxygen generators.
• Install new equipment and commission systems to meet client specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality standards on all assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a field service engineer working with air compressors or gas generators.
• Mechanical engineering background or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to work independently within a defined local patch and return home each night.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel up to 2‑3 hours per day.
