Computational Designer / Architect - Stadium and Arena Projects

About the role

A London studio, recruiting through Bespoke Careers, is looking for a Computational Designer or Architect to join its Computational Design team. The studio is a global, multidisciplinary practice specialising in stadium and arena design, working on a dynamic portfolio of live projects. The role involves owning key design packages such as façades, roofs and seating bowls.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimise computational workflows and products across the organisation
• Process and evaluate project data, including environmental, economic, planning and demographic information
• Develop tailored project strategies
• Keep up with emerging technologies, industry best practice and new software
• Lead continuing education and training to build technical expertise across the firm
• Translate complex ideas into clear verbal and graphical formats
• Produce high-quality reports, presentations and supporting materials
• Build collaborative relationships with team members and cross-functional partners

Required profile

• RIBA Part I or II, or qualified equivalent
• Excellent spoken and written English for client-facing workshops and presentations
• Willingness to learn and an interest in computational design
• Portfolio showing independent thinking, creativity and the ability to produce and manage complex geometries
• Prepared for travel within the UK and internationally

Required skills

• Essential: Rhino and Grasshopper
• Beneficial: Generative AI and AI-assisted coding
• Beneficial but not essential: Revit and Dynamo
• Beneficial: digital fabrication / DfMA experience and experience on large-scale complex projects (RIBA stages 0-4)
