Concierge – Part‑time Customer Support

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Concierge to be the first point of contact for residents in our retirement community in St Helens. You will help create a welcoming environment, support residents with everyday queries and contribute to a safe, friendly atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and direct all customer queries as the first point of call.
• Develop positive relationships with residents and help them develop life skills.
• Handle occasional emergency or challenging situations.
• Organise and run social activities for residents.
• Carry out health and safety duties such as fire safety checks.
• Maintain security of the service and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Write and update resident notes and records.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people, vulnerable adults, or individuals with mental health or substance‑misuse needs.
• Ability to work under challenging circumstances.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Confidence using IT systems.
