Concrete Plant Supervisor

About the role

The Concrete Plant Supervisor will lead daily operations at a busy concrete plant in Tunbridge Wells, ensuring that all concrete is produced to the required quality standards and delivered on time. You will act as the main point of contact for drivers, dispatch, customers, contractors and internal teams, using your initiative to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant production to meet quality and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with drivers and dispatch to optimise batching and delivery schedules.
• Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot operational problems and implement corrective actions.
• Manage stock levels, plant equipment, and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Collaborate with a wider network during machinery shutdowns to fulfil orders.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing or waste‑management environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
