Construction & Built Environment Assessor (Training Advisor)

About the role

Imperial Workforce, in partnership with Middlesbrough College, is seeking an experienced Assessor for Construction and the Built Environment. The role supports apprentices through the full Apprenticeship Standard, from induction to End Point Assessment, ensuring they meet knowledge, skill and behavioural requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inductions and initial assessments to establish realistic learning priorities.
• Develop individual learning plans with employers, confirming 20% off‑the‑job training compliance.
• Maintain a caseload of learners, monitoring progress through regular workplace reviews.
• Provide feedback, remove barriers and prepare learners for End Point Assessment.
• Support recruitment, retention and programme performance targets.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and promote an inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience assessing construction‑related apprenticeships.
• Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards, NVQs and End Point Assessment processes.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and external partners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
