Construction Director

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Director to lead our site teams across residential developments in Somerset and Devon. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while fostering a collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve quality, cost, and programme targets.
• Ensure labour, materials, drawings and information are available when needed.
• Monitor progress, produce and track programme updates, and manage delays.
• Conduct regular site visits, hold site meetings and maintain clear communication with all team members.
• Develop, circulate and review the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
• Promote health & safety best practice and embed the SHE strategy across the business unit.
• Work with Contracts Managers to allocate resources and maintain construction quality.
• Understand financial status of projects and maximise return without compromising safety, quality or customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large residential construction projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and SHE strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple site teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
