Construction Estimator – Derby

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Construction Estimator to join our on‑site team in Derby. You will play a key part in delivering accurate cost forecasts for a variety of construction projects, ensuring budgets are realistic and aligned with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and perform quantity take‑offs for new and existing projects.
• Analyse project requirements, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
• Manage project budgets and track cost performance throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients to support cost‑related decision making.
• Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, revisions and cost data.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in construction estimating and quantity take‑offs.
• Strong background in cost management and budgeting.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with clients, team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and project documentation.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards, best practices and safety regulations.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering or a related field.
