Construction Estimator – Roofing & Façade Specialist

About the role

Our client, a specialist contractor in hard‑metal roofing, cladding and façade systems, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre‑construction team. You will be responsible for preparing tender submissions, performing accurate quantity take‑offs and supporting the design and installation phases across commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender bids, compile information from enquiries and produce client bills of quantities.
• Carry out quantity take‑offs from construction drawings and produce scope‑marked drawings using Bluebeam.
• Calculate project rates for labour, materials and preliminary costs.
• Attend handover meetings with surveying, design and management teams.
• Maintain detailed records of tender submissions, queries and RFIs.
• Research and source costs for materials, labour and equipment, supporting subcontractor quotation processes.
• Assist with technical submittals for awarded projects and support the design team as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within roofing, cladding or façade projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

What we offer

• Salary up to £65,000 per year (dependent on experience)
• 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
• Full‑time office hours 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday
