Construction Lawyer (Junior) – Litigation & Dispute Resolution

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Construction Lawyer (NQ‑3 PQE) to join a nationally‑recognised law firm’s construction team in Southampton. The role focuses on high‑value contentious matters, providing strategic advice and delivering flexible dispute‑resolution solutions for a portfolio of developers, contractors and housing associations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage adjudication and litigation matters, including protocol work and court proceedings.
• Provide strategic advice and develop pragmatic, commercially‑driven solutions for clients.
• Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain direct client contact and contribute to business development activities.
• Support networking, marketing and knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the team.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 0‑3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in contentious construction law.
• Ability to manage a caseload with light‑touch supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑focused mindset.
