Construction Lecturer – Further Education

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Construction Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for well‑established Further Education providers in the South East of England. This role offers the chance to shape the next generation of construction professionals by providing engaging lessons and practical industry insight.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality construction and built‑environment lessons.
• Teach learners across a range of levels and abilities.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure all practical activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching construction in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
