About the role

The niche loss adjusting practice is expanding its Construction & Engineering team in London and the South East. The successful candidate will act as a Construction Loss Adjuster, handling a portfolio of contracts‑works loss claims for Lloyd's and London Market clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage construction and engineering loss claims from initial report through settlement.
• Provide technical analysis and input on complex contract‑related losses.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients, ensuring high service standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to gather evidence and produce accurate reports.
• Participate in hybrid working, splitting time between home and the London City office.

Required profile

• Experience in a dedicated Construction & Engineering loss adjusting unit or similar role.
• Alternatively, a background as a Commercial Property Adjuster or Surveyor/Engineer wishing to specialise in construction loss adjusting.
• Professional qualifications such as CII or CILA are advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of construction contracts and engineering loss assessment.
