Construction Manager

About the role

KONE is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Lifts Modernisation & Installation team. The role offers location flexibility across Yorkshire or the North West and is responsible for managing project scope, schedule and budget while acting as the primary interface with customers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from sales/installation hand‑over through to completion and hand‑over to the customer and Maintenance.
• Lead successful project start‑up, conduct project reviews, reporting and facilitate site preparations, storage, logistics and resource allocation.
• Lead and manage the installation team and subcontractors, ensuring sufficient resourcing, competence and motivation of site operatives.
• Proactively manage customer communication and stakeholder relationships throughout the project.
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, cash‑flow and revenue management, including change‑order opportunities.
• Maintain safety and security awareness among employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with KONE and customer policies.

Required profile

• People management and leadership experience.
• Customer and subcontractor relationship management.
• Financial project planning and cost control expertise.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge.
• Valid driving licence.
• Lift experience is a plus but not mandatory; candidates from engineering or construction backgrounds are encouraged.
