Construction Manager – Large‑Scale Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead the overall management and supervision of a large project area, coordinating multiple work packages and subcontractors to meet cost, programme and safety targets. You will work closely with trade partners, internal teams and stakeholders while reporting to the Construction Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate construction works across assigned project areas.
• Drive performance against KPIs, delivering cost‑effective, high‑quality outcomes on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS, health & safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Support the Project Manager on programme, commercial and reporting matters.
• Review schedules, estimate durations and monitor progress, escalating deviations when necessary.
• Implement technical and engineering aspects, including method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures.
• Produce daily progress records, manage subcontractor meetings and oversee resource planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction sites and multiple subcontractors.
• Strong ability to lead teams, coach staff and manage performance.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Ability to analyse planned vs actual data and take corrective actions.
