Construction Manager – Network Solutions

About the role

Skanska UK PLC is seeking a Construction Manager for its Network Solutions team. You will oversee the delivery of integrated network infrastructure, access control and telecom packages across multiple projects, ensuring safe installation, compliance testing and successful hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards on all sites under your control.
• Liaise with project teams, site agents, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate design implementation and installation.
• Manage suppliers and sub‑contractors to deliver work safely, on specification, on programme and to quality standards.
• Order and receive materials, ensuring installation aligns with contract scope.
• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship, quality and plant compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience with structured cabling, containment and associated IP sub‑systems.
• Ability to write and interpret method statements and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of site‑wide CNS networks, fibre and copper infrastructure, and telecom solutions.
• Experience installing Wi‑Fi systems and understanding MEP programme dependencies.
• Familiarity with industry‑recognised performance testing, commissioning and Fluke testing equipment.
• Hold or be able to obtain SMSTS (Site Safety Management) certification.
