Construction Project Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing multi‑site organisation, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead new site developments, refurbishments and capital investment projects across its national estate. You will own the project lifecycle from feasibility through construction, handover and operational launch, working closely with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of construction, fit‑out and refurbishment projects across multiple locations.
• Conduct site feasibility assessments and produce project recommendations.
• Manage design development with architects, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate tendering, procurement and appointment of contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor budgets, programmes and commercial performance, ensuring health & safety and quality standards.
• Oversee statutory approvals, Building Control requirements and compliance documentation.
• Drive project handovers, snagging processes and post‑project reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple construction, fit‑out or refurbishment projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction delivery, contractor management and budget control.
• Understanding of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Desirable: Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP) and construction‑related degree or HNC/HND.
