Construction Solicitor – 4+ years PQE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Solicitor with at least four years post‑qualification experience to join a dynamic legal team. The role offers flexible working, a supportive culture and clear opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on non‑contentious and contentious construction matters, including litigation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation and insurance‑related claims.
• Work with developers, property owners, contractors, consultants and insurers across public and private sectors.
• Take ownership of caseload, contribute to strategic direction and build lasting client relationships.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support team development.
• Collaborate across the firm to deliver integrated, high‑quality legal solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years post‑qualification experience in construction law.
• Experience in the Technology & Construction Court and various ADR mechanisms.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, risk and client sensitivities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard industry contracts such as JCT, NEC and FIDIC.
• Proven ability to interpret, draft and advise on both standard and bespoke contracts.
• Experience handling expert technical evidence (engineering, quantity surveying, etc.).
• Project and case management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines and budgets.
