Construction Solicitor – Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

Chalk Hill Group is partnering with a leading regional law firm to recruit a Construction Solicitor for its Southampton office. The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of construction and engineering matters, ranging from commercial and residential developments to infrastructure and offshore renewables.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and third‑party rights.
• Advise developers, contractors, funders and consultants throughout all project stages.
• Manage construction disputes and provide strategic risk‑management advice.
• Support business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in construction law.
• Experience in either contentious or non‑contentious construction matters.
• Strong commercial focus and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
